Only Happy

I made you love me
                                    you
didn't want to do it
I've never been able to let
indifference go
it was an insult

but now I've had your tear stained
love stained apology
you're free to dance all night 
at parties be seen all over 
town in the centre
                                  of crowds

now you've holed up for days 
alone and crept out 
to admit you can't live
without me
you can go back 
                              to being a star

I wish you a good life
I only want you 
to be happy
