Poem 20

A favourite book of mine was Ringolevio by Emmett Grogan – as a teen he would tell girls that his freckles were angel kisses … later in Europe he learnt to say it in French (my school textbook would stipulate the plural ces but I’m reliably assured this is how someone in France would say it) …

( also kissed by the angels of alliteration in face forever flecked … )
